the CBN has permitted a bank called JAIK international bank to operate as an Islamic bank in Nigeria. the only benefit of this bank is that it would be a no interest bank. the question is then, why operate as an Islamic bank in Nigeria,won't it send the wrong signals in Nigeria as it is already doing?why doesn't sanusi institute some banks especially micro-finance banks to operate as non interest banks? this Islamic bank system is selfish.they even want to pacify us by saying that it is also beneficial to Christians.we will watch and see. |
