The month of Ramadan — the most important month in the Islamic calendar, is just a few days away. This is the month when the Qur'an was revealed and it is also in this month that all acts of worship are rewarded manifold.

Before we talk about how to make the best out of Ramadan, let's mention some of the significance of the month.

The significance of fasting cannot be overemphasized. This is because:

* It increases your iman (faith)
* Brings you closer to Allah
*Good deeds are multiplied
*The devil (Shaytan) is locked, and therefore you'll only have to deal with the smaller ones.
* It is a reason for your sins to be replaced with good deeds
* Fasting helps to treat a lot of health conditions
* And much more!

[center]To make the best of Ramadan:[/center]

*You need to plan ahead of time,
*reduce your current workload and get a journal containing a checklist that you can use every single day of Ramadan.
* Observe your five daily prayers on time
* Recite the Qur'an as much as possible
* Attend knowledge circles
* Give charity
* Pay your Zakat if it is due in Ramadan
* Go for Umrah if you can afford it
* Avoid all forms of sin as much as possible
* Supplicate to Allah frequently
* Invite your friends for iftaar
* Pray the night prayers
* Generally increase in any good deed
