The Lagos state governor, Babatunde Fashola has declared that Lagos was ready to host the nation next year for the 18th National Sports Festival, which the state won the right to host.

Making the declaration in Lagos during the send forth ceremony of the state contingent to the 2011 Garden City Games, Fashola said if it was possible to fastrack time, “Lagos is ready even now.”

He pointed out that with the availability of standard sports facilities and the development of new ones, the state could host the country, anytime.

“Lagos State is fully prepared to host the Games next year and with the facilities on ground we can host the tournament now,” he said.
Fashola charged the state contingent to improve on their Kada 2010 performance so as to bring glory to the state.

He also told journalists that the state was the first to de-emphasise the use of elite athletes at sports festival, saying, “that is the only way to bring out the best in the younger ones.”

Haba, Lagos is ready to host the games. but please , bros FASH, take them on a tour to IKORODU to experience the BAD ROADS, they do not have to go to amusement park for any enjoyment ride, IKORODU has it.
