no much difference in first degree... elect/elect is general.. elect/information is a branch of elect/elect,...all engineering has branches.. like civil engineering has structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, highway and transportation engineering, water resources engineering as it's branches..

chemical engineering has petroleum engineering, petrochemical engineering etc as branches

mechanical engineering has automobile engineering and others under it..

you specialize fully in your masters degree

so some institutions just take on branch as a course...like you can get structural engineering as in course in some Universities...just the way you are have elect/information in your case...some schools have computer engineering as a course but it's under elect/elect engineering...after your B.eng you can choose to do computer engineering in masters degree...if your first degree is elect/elect engineering...

hope this helps

I just want to choose something I wouldn’t regret later that’s how I wasted 3yrs studying microbiology, at first I was given geology out of my ignorance I changed it to mcb, chai I’m still regret that stupid decision till now, so you can see why I wouldn’t gamble with this, after jamb I’ll just change my institution n course.
