Unknown to me there was a bullion Van approaching, I was not really blocking the road but the bullion Van just from no where hit my car from behind and caused a lot of damage to my headlights and bumper, and I was bleeding from the nose too, before I got down, they drove off with police escort.

I was advised by people around not to pursue them but after a while I tracked them into the CBN bank in Enugu. ....

My car is a Toyota Corolla 2015, Please how do I get this people to pay because I just bought the car and I don't think I was really blocking the road. The bullion Van driver did this on purpose.

Get a good lawyer as quickly as possible if you want to follow it up legally.. But i doubt if you were completely out of the road. Here in Nigeria, drivers don't pull over properly, they park leaving a part of the car on the road, and it can lead to what happened to you..

You would have take a picture of the car, the actual position after the incident. It will help on a long run

Make sure you have a concrete evidence, because you can't park in the front of a billion van on transit and expect it to park behind you, that is the standard rule anywhere. Another thing you said, is that you didn't know they were behind you and at the same time said they were with escorts, if my memory serves me well, since I have been in Nigeria I have not seen an escort attached to bullion van without their sirens on, or are you among those that always say Nothing dey Happen?.

But if you know you have been wronged and have evidence and witnesses to prove it then good luck.

Did the bullion van drive into shoprite entrance to hit your car? Obviously, you didn't park very well. Remember, they will get CCTV footage from shoprite if you press charges. So be sure you are not in the wrong. Sorry for your loss.

This is why u are advised to get Ur vehicle insured. A call to Ur insurance plug would've fixed Ur car in the next couple of days.

What people need to understand is Nigeria is a jungle. Military escorts can bash Ur vehicle and u dare not give them a pursuit lest they shoot at u and Brand u a security threat ; even CBN security escorts can do same. It was a good thing u didn’t give those guys a pursuit.


The omy option u have in this case is to accept Ur loss, repair Ur car, get treated and get Ur vehicle insured to cater for Ur loss in case of future occurrence.

when you see a bullion van you are expected to park. And let it go by you.

Nothing like pressing charges here oga, if you have comprehensive insurance, get your provider to fix the car.

If not, get the provider of the bullion van to fix your car if the insurance is still valid.

If them award damages against the bullion people after an eternity, what gives you the assurance they'll pay? Abi you think say you dey America?
