with towers, heavens high

round and about,
leaping and swirling,
a moat of fiery flames.

and nearly fell!

By dint of luck,
Sparrow held tight
and lest they fall,
the bridge he cut.

Swinging low,
spirits high
by stroke of luck,
the flames they miss!

Rock by ledge,
hand and foot
the sheer side they climb,
till at last, before the gates they stand!

A mighty big fix, says Sparrow
for now without a bridge,
are we here to stay!

Good cheer! My friend
to task at hand, lets go!
And after that, may we worry
for all the world can care.

The lawns were grown,
the shutters grim,
and cobwebs hung thick.
For none, the Castle dared
in o'er a thousand years!

Through the doors,
and into the hall, all hell
was now let loose!

For, seeing them come,
all manner of dead
came to life at once!

With axe and sword,
chain and mail,
they swung and cut
while Shrek and friend,
parried and ducked.

One by one, by and large
to Dragonsword,
they each and everyone fell,
till at last, the tower stairs loomed.

And there shone bright,
in shadows dark,
eyes as red as coal!

what sort of creature this?

A dragon she,
my name be BABE!
Echoes from within.
With fiery flames, all aswirl.

what you'll have me do
for he that hath the Dragonsword,
the dragon may command!

The maiden she,
sealed up yonder,
we seek.

We have not time,
for very soon, the Count
from slumber will rise!

On me, get thee!
And hold on tight,
while I take you,
to heights unknown.

While yet they spake,
One Knighty drew nigh
and through the clouds,
her chamber espied.

As he alights,
Shrek and Jack
on dragon's wings fly
till by and large,
they all in chamber did meet.

What! Cries Shrek
who art thou? And
whence thou from?
