1. Reside and preside.

Not Ri-side and Pri-side...
But Ri-zaid and Pri-zaid.

You see people saying Pri-sAi-din officer, instead of Pri-Zai-din officer.

'bass' isn't pronounced as 'bahs' but pronounced just the same way you pronounce 'base'.

Bass (fish) is pronounced 'bahs' tho. I think you should add that exception. Cool thread!

"Says"

Lots of people pronounce it "Says" like Bays or Case.
But no.

It is pronounced as "Ses". Like Kess or Bless.
So just drag it a bit so it wouldn't sound like SES or Ces.

"SEZZ"

Imagine bringing tribalism into something as pure and educative like this.

Like wha the Bleep is wrong with you

Why are you like this ?

If my comment is ethnocentric, the OP too should be called racist.

The OP mentioned Nigeria of all place but he's right. Why am I wrong for just mentioning south?

My comment came as an add up to his post. Now those living outside the country know which part of the country prounce the worst.

It ain't what you meant.

It's sickening how you folks bring tribalism into every narrative here. Very immature nonsense promoted by supposed grown ups. Heck!

So you consider my comment as ethnocentric?
