Decades ago when I just completed my secondary school education, I was reading on the table in the corridor of our residence when the 14 year old daughter of one of our neighbours came and sat on the table in front of me. Well said but, you get to understand that schools re now afraid of punishing their pupils, as a result of our today society where parents have guts to visit school to fight over punishment melted on their kids.. so most times school push such responsibility to parents.
Our society is doomed, we aren't getting better. Right in my presence, a girl below 13 was approaching a neighbour of similar age for relationship. I was just by the window listening. So I don't the blame school, they shouldn't allow some bad parenting role to ruin their reputation.

That said, I saw it trending on Twitter and I refrained from commenting because Ubi could be quite an alarmist and they are all kids, which makes it trickier. Chrisland failed in that they should have summoned all the parents to a meeting and let them know the events that played out in Dubai or wherever. That is how it used to be when I was growing up. All these elite schools and the extent they go to protect their reputation.

Yes, Chrisland should have done more. The situation was badly handled. They should have insisted on meeting with the parents much earlier and the two sides take responsibility, come to a mutual agreement to the best interest of the children involved and draw up a way on how this can be prevented in the future. And maybe notify the appropriate states agency.
