Another thread with this review is really different from this one. The other evoked mostly anger towards the reviewer which points to a reason why Nigeria can possibly remain dysfunctional and dystopian.
Nigerians generally receive every observation or piece of criticism from outsiders that isn’t praising things about Nigeria as an insult which breeds anger. That anger drives Nigerians to show critics that things in Nigeria are done in the Nigerian way and won’t change to suit outsiders. That leads to contributing and even worsening to the dysfunction.
There’s a missed opportunity.
Instead of that pattern, observations and reviews from foreigners should be taken as constructive criticism and used to fuel change. If people lie to save feelings and keep things smooth, things can’t improve. You can’t fix things that you’re in denial about being broken.

Change is the only way to improve.

Perhaps we feel we're the only ones qualified to criticize our products. Nigeria has a long way to rationality
