The Quebec Government needs people to move to their less populated regions.

As such, they are slashing tuition for international students who study in certain fields (healthcare, engineering, education, etc) at universities in those regions.

The only caveat is that you have to study in French.

If you want to go to Canada and are worried about money, this is a golden opportunity for the next few years.

Those who think your way will stay stuck, others are grabbing similar opportunities with both hands.

It takes 6 months to 1 year of consistent study to move from novice in French to B1/B2 level.

There are Nigerians already studying French to boost their Canadian Immigration points, this could help them.

People in, or just finished from, Secondary school can attach French language study to their "must-do".

so it means I have to understand French 100% before I qualify?

Does this also apply to those who want to go for MSC or it's just undergraduate?

By social service here kindly throw more light

Is IELTS also a criteria here?

IELTS won't be required.

You would need to check the schools to know their french level requirements. I expect a French level of B2 is required. E.g: https://collegedunia.com/canada/college/75-university-of-quebec-at-chicoutimi-chicoutimi/admission.

I strongly suggest that you ask individual schools about this. You can send them a link for them to understand what you're talking about.

Some schools also have a French immersion for a few weeks to acclimatize new students.

Social service are people who work with children, poor people, old people, even health, etc. Also called social service.

You can test your level:

If one wants to learn French, they can. Any reason as to why not is an excuse. Of course, money could be a limiting factor (money for data, time spent learning instead of earning money).

The official list of universities covered has not been published yet.

You should probably check the link once a month until year end.
