The Headies Awards organizers have been threatened to disqualify the fast-rising Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola, well known as Portable for threatening to kill his 2022 edition other nominees.

The headies organizers who are not excited with Singer Portable who made this known in a report on its Instagram handle on Friday 27th of May, 2022.

According to our reports, Singer Portable who was nominated to contest in the ‘Best Street-Hop Artiste’ and ‘Rookie of the Year’ categories when the Headies revealed their nominees for this incoming 2022 edition on Tuesday 24th of May, 2022.

However, Other nominees in the ‘Rookie of the Year’ category are Fave, Av, Magixx, and Ugocci.

For the second category of nominees, Singer Portable which is pitter against, Naira Marley, Mohbad, Bella Shmurda and Goya Menor among others.

Singer Portable the ‘Zazuu’ took to his Instagram account to make a threat to any other person who wins the Headies Award of 2022 edition over him.

Therefore, according to the contentious singer, if he fails to win, he will kill anyone who wins the awards.

However, not being suit with Singer Portable’s statement, the organisers of the awards in a good response said:

“We have give notification to the Nigeria police of Mr. Okokiola’s actions to the fellow nominees.

Moreso, the demand for the immediate retraction of the video as well as the apology to other nominees in all the categories and The Headies has been made.

The Headies on their Instagram page said,  “Should Mr. Okikiola fail to meet our demands, we will not only disqualify him from participating in The Headies again but also to enforce the instrumentality of the law.

“The general public are hereby to implored to disregard the viral video and stop the dissemination of the same in the public space,” The Headies noted.
