Marriage is the beginning—the beginning of the family—and is a life-long commitment. It also provides an opportunity to grow in selflessness as you serve your wife and children. Marriage is more than a physical union; it is also a spiritual and emotional union. This union mirrors the one between God and His Church

I don't know the woman's background story but I believe that when getting married is becoming unlikely and one is uncomfortable with becoming a baby mama or opting for artificial insemination using an anonymous sperm donor, there is always an option of adopting a child, preferably a girl.

We don't have enough information to draw any conclusion but committing suicide on Children's Day points to only one thing - social pressure.

Social pressure is the combined pressures that are around you during everyday life. Unfortunately, you don't have control over these pressures. The best you can do is to manage them.

If people around you prioritize marriage, having children, academic success, employment, etc., chances are that your desires will be shaped by and around these pressures.

Only few people have a desire or mind of their own. More often than not, your desires, your ambitions, your cravings, and goals are designed for you by others. Even that food you crave for lunch is not your making. It is a result of social pressure and business algorithms.

Tell the average Nigerian that you don't like songs from Wizkid, Davido, or Burna and expect the most ridiculous perception about you. They expect your favourite musician to be either Wizkid or Davido when over 100 new songs are being released by other Nigerian artistes on Apple Music every week.

What we have to do is de-emphasize this "zombie" way of thinking and "cancel culture" and start emphasizing critical thinking. When someone is not married at a certain age or without a child, a critical mind won't start thinking rubbish.

Apparently, it was important to her, probably her deepest desire.

Eventually, many people enjoy that companionship and the fulfillment that having children brings. Not having it, not by choice can be depressing for some.

Although we don't have the full details, that's just my general opinion.

1. Marriage is the beginning—the beginning of the family—and is a life-long commitment.

2. It also provides an opportunity to grow in selflessness as you serve your wife and children.

3. Marriage is more than a physical union; it is also a spiritual and emotional union. This union mirrors the one between God and His Church
This claim that marriage is the beginning of family is fairy tale in a world where many are born outside of marriage.
Also of fairytale status is the assumption that a family can be formed when strangers choose to come together to live together as such. undecided

2. Marriage is the opposite of what you describe there. It is a majorly selfish union where individuals dedicate their very lives to building up that which pretty much only pertains to them and theirs - your wife/husband, your children etc., - as opposed to that which belongs to others - other people's children, spoiled, etc. - for the sake and benefit of all. undecided

3. Marriage has nothing to do with God who cursed it in Genesis 3 vs 16 , nor His Church of which Jesus Christ informed you of 2000 years ago that your marriages have no part in - Luke 20 vs 34- 36. That which is unholy can't be said to mirror that which is holy in any way or form.. undecided

Married people are both responsible for and responsible to another human being, and both halves of that dynamic lead the married to live more responsible, fruitful, and satisfying lives. Marriage is a transformative act, changing the way two people look at each other, at the future, and at their roles in society.

Marriage is like the highest achievement for some women in Nigeria.

Honestly,if u see how they go about searching for men, then u will know that marriage is more than a necessity but a golden achievement.
