Fellow Nigerians, a young graduate working in a prestigious company in Nigeria, was on saturday batterred by an unscrupulous FRSC official, named Mr. Ogundele O.O, for allegedly committing the Seat Belt violation offence and allegedly talking to him (the official) in a rude manner. There are several pictures of the Grievous Bodily Harm inflicted on this innocent Nigerian's face which many believe was through a shrp object in the hands of the FRSC official.

The incident occurred around 2:15 pm on Saturday, July 16, 2011 at the FRSC offfice in Jibowu, Yaba Lagos. In a statement released by Mr. Odion of the Nigeria Police Station Sabo Division, the young man was said to be driving in his saloon car with his mum beside him, whom he was taken to a wedding at UNILAG, Akoka. At an FRSC stop check just before the railway line at Jibowu, one of the FRSC officials spotted the mum as she was just trying to readjust her seat belt and asked the young man to pull over which he did immediately. The Mother started appealing to the officials saying that she had just re-entered the car as they just pumped one of their flat tyres. After pleaing with the officials which yielded no results, the FRSC officials said they were taking the car to their office which was near by. Again, the young man immediately obliged, with the mother saying perhaps a more senior and educated FRSC official would have a better understanding than the ones on the road. However, on realization that the young man and his mother were not ready to 'co-operate, Mr Ogundele who sat on the passenger side next to the young man, started using provocative words on the young man and his mother. The young man asked the man to stop insulting his aged mother and asked if he could talk to his own mother that way. Just before entering th FRSC compund, Ogundele aggresively charged towards the young man, who was focused on driving and hit him in the face with a ring supposedly in his hands. There was a pool of blood immediately afterwards, and the young man tried to defend himself but as he struggled to get hold of the official, people had come to seperate. Ogundele then started boasting that that nothing would happen and that he would go scot-free after the incident. The boy and his mother immediate went to the Police station at Sabo, Yaba, where the case has been reported.

We would call on well- meaning Nigerians who are willing to help to contact the following numbers to assist in bringing justice as these cases of assault on innocent Nigerians, by uniformed mescreants should be pu to STOP:
