To farm rice? Very good. Again, there are first things first you must understand. Farm location. Where is your location, type of soil, security concerns and agricultural practises of locals there? What is the distance to towns/villages? Access roads? I will discuss these: Type of soil. Is it Famada (clayey loam)? Is it rich in humus? What about water levels? It is prone to flooding? This will primarily determine if it's upland or swamp variety you want to farm. What do the local farm and why? |
