I've got an ES350 2011 model for sell. It arrived at the port on the 9th of June and hasn't been cleared.
I only want my cost price which is 4M as I'm not selling for profit. So buyer just needs to finish up the clearance and give me my cost price. It was bought from copart.

The 4M is my cost price which I have paid already. By finishing up the clearance, I mean paying the balance which has been requested to bring out the car from the port..it also include fixing. This brings total amount buyer will spend for the ride to total of 5.2M

Yes, I am selling because of the increase in duty as I didn't plan for that and currently don't have the extra being requested for by the person who helped me in buying it. The 4m is my cost price which I paid to him for everything.. buying, shipping, clearing and fixing but an extra 1.2 is being requested. So instead of the car to keep incurring demurrage, I want to sell. [/quote

sorry about your ordeal. Most of us were caught by the new policy. However if you bought it 4m, the balance can't be 1.2m as the duty is about 2m. The true landing cost is approximately 3m. At that price, you are likely to get a buyer.

bro, I would advise you borrow that 1.2m and get that car out. The cost of cars is going up definitely. You can still sell and make profit.

Update! The car has been cleared.. remaining fixing.. still on distress sales though.
Reviewed price is 5.5M without fixing. it will be fixed this week and it will go for 5.8M to 6M as distress sale.
