After the disruption resulting from the coronavirus pandemic, the nation is still reeling from its effects. Small firms were especially hit hard by the event due to lockdowns that saw reduced patronage for them. That in addition to rising inflation is threatening the survival of businesses and many have already closed.

In recognition of this, the Central Bank of Nigeria, has decided to release funds to aid these businesses. It is offering loans and grants to help businesses weather through the current state of the economy and expand. The loans are also open to households.
