I have seen several wild lives and reserves, basically on TV, that lions and other wild animals do not attack vehicles, even with easy access. Is there a reason or theory behind this?

When most wild animals see humans, the first thing that comes to their mind is not "food substance" and so naturally, wild animals should not attack humans when they see them

they are mostly ambush killers, how will they easily get access to the cars we are not their natural preys so they wont see us as food except in extreme situations. evolutionary triats, they know what humans do when one of us is killed or attacked. Humans will come to annihilate them. They usually go for easy prey and the vehicles can injure them too. if the tourists come out tho they will be attacked

When they see dem rangers cloths, they already know this are the ones that tranquilized one of us. Plus there are cases where lion climb tourist cars and scratch their teeths on the bar iron separating them with the humans. Don't be deceived that open car could be a long range distance camera too.
A pride of lion can scamper the humans and pick there targets.
The male pride will be like comrades behold I give to you VanHelsen...

You need to understand how the lion brain works.

The lion brain cannot differentiate between the truck and the humans on it.

It can see two object when they're separate. But when on the truck it can't process the difference. That's why in safari you see people sitting comfortably on open roof safari truck comfortably.

Lions too are afraid of humans walking in groups they will japa .
But two people can be attack by a lion/lions
