Everyone was created for a purpose. It is an abuse of purpose for one to miss Divine assignment in life.

What is divine assignment? Your divine assignment is doing specific thing God wants you to do; having what He wants you to have; going where He wants you to go and then becoming who He ultimately wants you to become in Christ.

Bishop David Oyedepo said; "Knowing your assignment determines your attainment in life." It is imperative that you discover the particular assignment God has for you.

A God given assignment gives you inner fulfilment, makes you to be significant and attracts God's support.

Carpenter Shop in this context signifies an assignment or work you gave your self. Jesus, our saviour, was in Carpenter's shop for many years but never died as a carpenter but died as a Saviour; his God's given assignment , which distinguishes Him for life.

Carpenter Shop may be a stepping stone to your glorious and God given assignment but you should never allow it to be an hindrance to the attainment of your destiny.

Most of the God's General in our generation have their Carpenter's shop before they key into their assignment. Pastors Kumuyi and Adeboye were Lecturers, Bishop Oyedepo was an Architect, Pastor Enenche, a medical Doctor and host of others.

Carpenter's shop is not limited to church ministry assignment. There is a testimony of a lady who, after several year, discovered her God's given assignment in the area of petroleum and she started as a kerosene seller. Today, the lady has been distinguished by the Lord.



How can you know God Given Assignment?

1)Through Holy Spirit in Prayer or meditation in the word of God.

John 16:12 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.

John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

2)Through the thoughts in your heart.

Philippians 2:13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

3)Through Prophets:

2 Peter 1:21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

This is why Jesus Christ warned that it is against God to serve two masters in the Kingdom of God - Matthew 6 vs 24. He also warned His followers not to submit themselves to the doctrines and traditions of men(and their churches) which are all nothing but lies that deceived and delude the minds of men away from following God's Truth, rendering their worship of Him meaningless and hence of no value, thereby damning their souls in the end - Matthew 15 vs 1 - 14 & Mark 7 vs 1 - 13.

17. Jesus said to them, “Come, follow me, and I will make you a different kind of fishermen. You will bring in people, not fish.” - Mark 1 vs 17

When you become of the Kingdom of God, I mean when you choose to become born again, you gain one assignment and one assignment only and that is to live your life in continuous submission to and obedience to the teachings and commandments of Jesus Christ, God's New Covenant/agreement and contract in the Kingdom of God - Matthew 26 vs 28 - 30. And according to Jesus Christ, only those who stand faithful - in continuous submission and obedience of the teachings and commandments of Jesus Christ - until the very end, will be saved - Matthew 24 vs 12 -13 & Mark 13 vs 13 .

Jesus Christ did not call anyone to become carpenters, rulers, doctors, choir masters, administrators, prophets, evangelists, etc. in His name. Instead, He said those who belong to Him will abandon working for perishable bread and instead work for food that endures to eternity which only He can give them - John 6 vs 25 - 44. He did not call them to sit as pastors and mogs in your churches to those who are supposedly born-again, earning a salary that way, what is a perishable food. Instead, He sent them all out to teach His Gospel to those in the world, those who are blind to His Truth, to teach them His Law and help them to obey it. Jesus Christ taught us that only those who Feed His sheep - Give food and drink to the hungry and thirsty - and Take care of His Sheep - Cloth the naked, home to those who are homeless, care for the sick, and visit those in prison - i.e. those who do works of righteousness will enter into Heaven at the end of the day - Matthew 25 vs 31 - 46

Stop allowing these men to steal, kill and destroy your lives using God's name - John 10 vs 7 -16.

Jesus Christ did not teach you of His goodness. Instead He said it is only by submitting to and obeying His commandments that you can come to experience His love - John 13 vs 1- 2 and John 15 vs 10 -12. Yes, Jesus Christ only loves those who obey Him. That is the condition He gave for the Love that is His to give.
