Basic Requirements:
Degree in Geographic Information Systems GIS, Geography surveying, Cartography, Accounting, Planning, Statistics, Computer programming, Computer science/software engineering, networking or a related field preferred; or equivalent job-related experience.

Essential Functions
• Maintain and construct programs independently
• Participate on large, complex projects with direction and design program with supervision
• Utilizes project management skills for small projects
• Responsible for unit testing, participates in systems level testing
• Conduct GIS business requirements analysis
• Perform spatial analysis and high-quality map generation
• Provide team and technical support to other GIS analysts
• Work with staff on coordination of field data collection
• Provide GIS/GPS training and data access training for clients as needed
• Manage GIS documentation, as needed
• Provide 24/hr/7 day support as necessary
• Travel for business and customer meetings, as needed

Qualifications
The successful candidates will possess the following skills, qualifications and experience:
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing is required.
• Experience with HTML and web application is a plus.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others and to work independently.
• At least two to five years information technology experience in Esri GIS programming and analysis
• Familiarity with Visual Studio and C#; Java experience helpful
• Experience automating process using Python
• Demonstrable experience designing and coding GIS-based website using Esri's ArcGIS Server via its REST APIs (Silverlight & JavaScript)
• Experience using standard Web technologies like HTML, CSS, etc.
• Solid understanding of Esri's products, including ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Server and ArcSDE technology
• Experience using ArcInfo or ArcEditor for spatial data editing
• Familiarity with the selection and maintenance of GIS hardware, software, and data development, such as upgrades and database backups, and hardware replacement, 
• Capability to repair office and field equipment and perform field testing of new and/or prospective equipment.
• Capability to relate with GIS consultants, clients and vendors.
• Hands-on experience with designed, implementing, and administrating multi-user Geodatabases stored within Oracle
• Knowledge of Oracle & SQL
• Ability to work as team member and interface with the client
• Good communication skills and technical writing skills
• Knowledge of project management
• Self-motivation and a pro-active attitude;
• Ability to translate requirements into working solutions;
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Ability to travel from one client site to another
