FAKE NEWS: UNIBEN RAPPER, OREKIS, NOT DEAD

Our attention has been drawn to a viral story making the rounds on social media, which is believed to have originated from a fake news-laden online platform, Nairaland, to the effect that a "popular Uniben rapper, Orekis is dead."

We wish to formally debunk the fake and misleading story and state categorically that the UNIBEN-breed artist is alive, hale and hearty.

It is true that Orekis was recently involved in an accident alongside two other popular UNIBEN stars - AY and Reeze. Sadly, Reeze, unfortunately, couldn't make it.

This is not the time to spread unnecessary panic or add to the emotional and physical pains the "accidented" artists are going through, having lost one of their colleagues.

We advise the purveyors of the fake news to desist forthwith from spreading unverified reports capable of causing mental and physical harm to people and their loved ones.

To friends, well-wishers, admirers and fans of the "broken" artists who have since inundated their phone lines with calls, kindly continue to pray for full recovery for them, and repose of soul for our late colleague, Reeze.
