When I check the hp 15 da... online I saw core i5, but it is not listed as the specification here

the AMD A8 Is a processor just like core i5 but it is made by AMD and not Intel(like the core i5)

yes that is true but their other version which are being released every year. Currently AMD Processor are more energy efficient than the intel processor(due to the smaller size of the transistor in it 7nm compare to the 14nm in intel) but in term of speed they are equal
