The Stakes
Given their outstanding record in Group D, when they notched up three emphatic wins against Guatemala, Croatia and Saudi Arabia, coach John Obuh’s highly motivated and well-drilled Nigerian side are certainly the form team in this tie. The canny coach will also hope his prolific pairing of Ahmed Musa and Olarenwaju Kayode can continue a purple patch that has seen them claim half their team’s goal tally to date.

Their defence may be impregnable, but three games into this edition and England are still without a win. This unwanted run goes back to a 1-0 victory over Mexico in 1997, a winless streak at FIFA U-20 World Cup final tournaments now stretching to 13 games. Though the pressure is on coach Brian Eastick to find a solution to his side’s difficulties in front of goal, the supremo remains defiant: “It’s no use scoring if you’re letting in three at the other end". Even so, on the evidence of the Nigerians’ performances so far, goalkeeper Jack Butland is sure to have plenty to do on Wednesday.

You've forgotten that they have failed to score a goal in 3 matches while my boys have scored 12 goals

Yes, it's still on. The match there're fears over whether it'll hold or not is the Nigeria vs Ghana friendly.
I'm expecting a whitewash. I've seen the English boys and they are pretty useless.

Defending against set piece will be our weakness, these boys will be getting 'free kicks' here and there

Best thing is we rush them cos they will be nervous and defending like crazy!

This is a must win for the flying Eagles am sure, l only fear Potugal,Argentina,Spain, and Brasil.

The Flying Eagles have done well both defensively and in the attack. The Junior 3 Lions have had an excellent defensive strategy so far but just poor in the attack. At first glance this game easily goes to Nigeria. But this Nigerian side still has a problem with set pieces, especially from European teams.
And again, one shouldn't forget that prior to this tournament it was difficult for the Nigerian team to find the back of the net. One can carefully say this English side could just get their goal scoring form too, as goals are crucial at this stage.
