*Edo State International Film Festival kicks off, as Nigeria creative industry stakeholders storm Benin*

The Edo State International Film Festival has kicked off in Benin City, bringing veteran artists, film lovers and entertainment buffs together in the ancient city to experience the new offerings from the Edo’s burgeoning creative sector.

The Edo State First Lady, Mrs. Betsy Obaseki performed the ribbon-cutting at Kada Cinema, signaling the commencement of the 4-day film fiesta.

The festival is holding simultaneously at the Victor Uwaifo Creative Hub and Soundstage and Kada Cinema.

The festival will showcase over 1,100 film entries from about 90 countries, providing a veritable platform to screen new movies, stimulate film critics and explore theatrical performances.
