About 80% of people experience cramps and pains during their menstruation. When struggling with period pain, food can help or hurt. It would help to know what to eat during periods to reduce pain.

Menstruation (also called period) is normal vaginal bleeding that occurs every month. It comes as part of a woman’s monthly cycle.

Every month, the body prepares itself for a possible pregnancy. At the onset of a monthly cycle, egg cells start developing in the ovaries. At the mid-cycle, an egg gets released from the ovaries via a process called ovulation in readiness for fertilisation.

If the woman has sex during that period and the released egg gets fertilised by a sperm cell, implantation begins, and so does the journey of pregnancy.

However, if pregnancy does not occur, the woman’s body sheds the released egg alongside the endometrium (inner walls of the uterus). Shedding of the uterus causes bleeding during a menstrual cycle. This means the menstrual blood is a combination of blood and tissue from the uterus.

For a woman that is not pregnant, the period bleeding should come every month (an average of 28 days). However, there are cases where monthly periods are absent (amenorrhea) or irregular (oligomenorrhea).

If you have been through puberty and experience absence of or irregular menstruation, you should see a doctor for proper diagnosis as many things can be the cause.

This is an amazing post, today so many women are getting so much pain in their body during period's time. Many of them are getting heavy stomach pain in their body. Lots of them are avoid to intake food during period time. But only few of them are aware about food diet during period's time. Women should know very well about the precaution steps and food diet during period time.
