You bought a land and after putting perimeter fence, you still feel insecured about the whole thing. OR you are witnessing the lands of your fellow landowners being taken away from them forcefully, making you more afraid and jittery, hence you are looking for a way to secure your own land but just don't know what to do.......let me ask you this simple question......did you carry out survey when you bought the land? Not just with any kind of surveyor but with a registered surveyor?
When people say that they are owners of a land(s), there's this document that backs this claims up and that is the survey, done by a registered surveyor. Once a person is able to provide such document, that person already have an upper hand in winning that dispute or rather secured about the land. Survey helps one to know the shape, size and area of his land, shows if the land has been encroached on or not, shows if the land has been surveyed previously by a registered surveyor or unregistered surveyor, helps the architect to design a house that best suit that piece of land, and most importantly, it helps one avoid committed properties owned by the government and its been recitted with deed of assignment. Some of you will say that registered surveyors are expensive, YES!!, they are but there are reasons for being expensive, because once problems start you will start enjoying the benefits of hiring a registered surveyor because their seals and signatures, even after their deaths, covers a lot of things in the Law Court and that trainee or unregistered surveyor you hired will only make you lose more than what you intended or have invested.
So to avoid stories that touches the heart make sure whenever you want to invest in properties such as land, hire a registered surveyor, that way you won't be afraid of someone taking your land from you because it has been enshrined in the deed of assignment/ Transfer.

BE WISE, BE INFORMED AND KEEP YOUR LAND!!!!!
