Iraq's mighty Tigris river that is said to have watered the biblical Garden of Eden and helped give birth to civilisation itself is drying up.

But today, the Tigris is dying.

Human activity and climate change have choked its once mighty flow through Iraq, where, with its twin river the Euphrates, it made Mesopotamia a cradle of civilisation thousands of years ago.

Iraq may be oil-rich but the country is plagued by poverty after decades of war and by droughts and desertification.

Battered by one natural disaster after another, it is one of the five countries most exposed to climate change, according to the United Nations.

From April onwards, temperatures exceed 35 degrees Celsius (95 degrees Fahrenheit) and intense sandstorms often turn the sky orange, covering the country in a film of dust.

Hellish summers see the mercury top a blistering 50 degrees Celsius, near the limit of human endurance, with frequent power cuts shutting down air conditioning for millions.

The Tigris, the lifeline connecting the storied cities of Mosul, Baghdad and Basra, has been choked by dams, most of them upstream in Turkey, and falling rainfall.

The Tigris’s course through Iraq begins in the mountains of northern Iraq’s Kurdish region, near the borders of Turkey and Syria, where local people raise sheep and grow potatoes....

Iraq’s government and Kurdish farmers accuse Turkey, where the Tigris has its source, of withholding water in its dams, dramatically reducing the flow into Iraq.

Is this a sign of the end times?
nairalanders and knowledgeable ones...I heard there is a portion about this in the Quran.

However, should we watch out for the River Euphrates also as seen in Revelation 16:12?

Lake Chad is drying up, but it’s not a sign of the end times.

River Tigris and other rivers around the world are drying, na this one be sign of end times abi?

If there’s no temple in Israel, nothing is happening.

Climate change is real guys.

Did you know there was once a time when the Sahara was not a desert but lush green with vegetation?

Did you know that many many years ago, Antartica was not covered with ice but was lush with green vegetation?

Even major rivers in China are drying up too.

We need to listen to the warnings from mother earth and treat her with better respect.

I've been noticing you for some time now and it seems you believe God still has something to do with the natural Jews.
Well if that's what you're expecting then let me tell you today that the nation of Israel has been "CONDEMNED" {Matthew 21:43} it's been replaced by another nation producing the fruitage of FAITH.

Why is this necessary?

God is not requesting perfection from imperfect humans making up that nation but for them to work together with the Christ when he comes {Deuteronomy 18:18-19} that is what Jesus told the man who has kept all the laws from his youth {Luke 18:18-23} so for the nation of Israel to slaughter the Messiah and say:

“Let his blood come upon us and upon our children.” Matthew 27:25

Jesus told them to cry for their children because the nation has lost the favour they're getting from God and the blessings God promised Abraham has been given to the few Jews who became the first century Christian congregation. That's why all the promises God made with that nation began fulfilling among the Christians (only) Act 2:39

So that nation has absolutely nothing to do with the promises of God today they've lost it all the day God's only begotten Son was killed in Jerusalem!

As for River Tigris it has a symbolic meaning in it's drying up.
In ancient Babylon (the center of pagan worship set up against pure worship) the waters was like a protection behind the walls of Babylon shielding the city from being attacked by enemy nations. Cyrus the Persian diverted the river and his army walked into Babylon on foot to capture the city.

What this mean in our day!

Babylon the Great {Revelations 17:5} means the world empire of false religions, the waters upon which she's seated mean people from all nations {Revelations 17:15} so just as Cyrus diverted all the waters of Tigris so that Babylon became vulnerable to attack Jesus the modern day Cyrus will divert all the people supporting that empire of false religions away from supporting it and then the world government (wild beast) will attack false religions and declare all religions banned! Revelations 17:16

Have you noticed how many people are turning against their religious organizations today? Most people are becoming atheists, some agnostics and still many freethinkers even the few remaining in the churches are doubting if there's anything worthwhile they're doing there.

This is the meaning of River Tigris drying up! smiley

Dear brother
God still has unfinished business with the Israelites.

1. The prophecies from Ezekiel 39 on the war of certain nations against Israel is yet to be fulfilled.

2. The prophecies on the temple vision in Ezekiel 40 - 44 is yet to be fulfilled. Infact, Ezekiel 40 v 38-43 clearly shows that sacrifices would be restored in this temple.

3. The prophecies in Isaiah 66 is yet to happen.

4. Same with certain prophecies concerning the nation of Israel in the book of Zechariah.

5. Revelation 11 v 1-3, which is a prophecy concerning a physical temple is yet to happen.

Mind you, the book of Revelation was written after the destruction of the temple in 70AD.

Everything is undergoing fulfilment today!

What you're looking at is the natural Jews not spiritual Jews (born again brothers of Christ) i am telling you today that almost all those prophecies have been fulfilled in our day.

Remember what made most Israelites reject Jesus of Nazareth, well they're expecting Elijah till today because the scriptures say the Christ will not come until Elijah comes to prepare the way for him. Malachi 4:5

That's why the faithful Jews in the first century after fully convinced that Jesus is the Christ asked him:
“Why, then, do the scribes say that E·liʹjah must come first?” Matthew 17:10

In reply Jesus said to them:

“E·liʹjah is indeed coming and will restore all things. However, I say to you that E·liʹjah has already come, and they did not recognize him but did whatever they wanted with him. In this way also, the Son of man is going to suffer at their hands.” Then the disciples perceived that he spoke to them about John the Baptist! Matthew 17:11-13

So if you're not connected to Christ's group many things will escape your notice! smiley

That "SEED" is not the nation of Israel as many people but just one person "CHRIST" {Galatians 3:16} so God's promises is not for that faithless nation rather God chose them as the nation through whom Christ will be born, had it been they welcome him just as God warned them in the Bible book of Deuteronomy 18:18-19 then the blessings will continue with them but since they rejected him God has also rejected that faithless nation! The nation was chosen as a means through which the Christ will be born that's why Jesus told a Samaritan woman that Salvation is from the Jews {John 4:22} because Christ is to be born among the Jews!

Samaritans are the ten tribes of Israel that broke away after the death of Solomon.

But since the nation rejected Christ they lost all the privileges to the few Jews who accepted Christ. So God's promises continue only with the Christians not Israel anymore! John 1:11-12 smiley

Can you see how you are manipulating and misinterpreting the Scriptures?

Consider the Scriptures below:

Matthew 10:  6 These twelve Yahushua sent out with the following instructions: “Do not go among the Gentiles or enter any town of the Samaritans. 6 Go rather to the lost sheep of Israel. 7 As you go, proclaim this message: ‘The kingdom of heaven has come near.’ 8 Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give.

Matthew 15: 24 He answered, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel.”

The Scriptures will continue to rebuke you.

If truly the Samaritans were all the Ten Tribes of Israel, why did Yahushua the Messiah admonish his disciples not to go to them even if he had said he was sent to the lost sheep of Israel?

Who is a Jew, maxindhouse?

So how are they literally lost since they're within the boarders of Judah? cheesy

When you find true Christians trying to TEACH you what our Master, Lord and King Christ Jesus commanded us to TEACH you {Matthew 28:20} but proving stubborn how do you expect us to go about it?

I'm here substantiating using the scriptures to it's full strength and here you are coming to argue as if you understand anything.

So answer that question if truly you grasp what i've been saying at all:

Who are the lost sheep of the house of Israel?

After all Jesus told his disciples not to go out of the boarders of Judah so in what sense are they lost? smiley

John 1: 9 The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world. 10 He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. 11 He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. 12 Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— 13 children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.

A very powerful portion of the Scripture. The very foundation of the saints, servants and messengers of Yahushua the Messiah.

The world rejected him. His own, his own people, the Israelites, neither believed in him nor accepted him. However, all those who believed in and accepted him, irrespective of their race, tribe, nation, color or language, he made them his saints, servants and messengers, children of YHVH Almighty, his Father.

This doesn't negate the fact that YHVH Almighty still considers the "Nation" of Israel as his inheritance, just as we see in Romans and other Scriptures. So, the replacement theology is unscriptural. The Father in heaven will not stop loving his Inheritance.

What are you substantiating? You are propagating replacement theology.

You mean the same Judah that was occupied by Romans, Greeks, etc?

Which one be "true Christians"? I didn't know there were false Christians.

Aren't you supposed to tell me who the lost sheep of the house of Israel were? If the Samaritans were actually the lost ten tribes of Israel, why did the Master admonish his disciples not to go to them?

Again, do you mean the same Judah that was occupied by the Romans, Greeks, etc, or another Judah?

Guy nothing made Israelites special than all other nations apart from the promises God made to Abraham {Genesis 12:1-3} so once they have rejected the SEED God promised Abraham which is Christ they lost it all.
They're no longer God's inheritance because the whole earth belongs to him and it's only those believing in Christ that are now God's family as for the nation of Israel that rejected Christ that nation is doomed! smiley
