Popular Nigerian comedian, Bright Okpocha, popularly known as ‘Basketmouth’ has changed his stage name.

The award winning comedian now wishes to be known and addressed as ‘Onyekwere’ by fans and associates until the 2023 elections are over.

The ace comedian in a Facebook post said the decision was due to the fact that the country was in a campaign season and politicians who make irrational statements are referred to as ‘Basketmouth’

He added that he would revert to his known stage name when the campaigns are over.
