Off topic...but USA has a premium healthcare response because people in the USA pay much higher for their healthcare...in terms of fees, taxes, and so forth...than Nigeria. Here in Nigeria, we spend 3 billion on health care...dollars for 200 million people. The USA spends 4.1 trillion dollars on healthcare. Annually...that's why I am a bit tetchy about your comparison to the USA.

If I tell you Nigerians that we should pay USA Level.....you will say we are poor. What we have is what we can afford, and it is bad.

Having said that, most accident victims in Nigeria a re transported via private vehicles. Because the US has the money, they can afford ambulances and trained paramedics, nurses and doctors to treat the patient on the ground.

That explains why life expectancy is 54 years in Nigeria and 78 years in USA.

The first hospital resuscitated him and later referred him to a specialist hospital where he was on ICU care. He may have probably died earlier if those professionals at the first hospital didn't attend to him on time

I agree but to be honest from the video the do doctors acted unprofessionally even if they did not make the video.

They did not threat the issue with urgency and looks like they did not have the adequate manpower to move the guy for urgent surgery.

Lets be honest if it was in advanced countries his chances of survival will be higher.

Always trying to bad mouth your country.. His GCS was 3/15 already.. So his chances were almost zero.. His survival rate was just around 2%, Infact a GCS of 3 is actually dead.

If it was a standard hospital that handles such critical cases will they be looking for outsiders help to lift patients to the emergency ward.
