Passengers who booked a flight on Oryx Jet Limited, a UK based aviation company (oryxjets.com) to be flown from London to Lagos during the Covid Lockdown have threatened to turn to renowned investigative journalist David Hundeyin for help to recover their non-refunded funds since the flight service never took place. After several discussions in a messenger group that they created, the aggrieved passengers decided to take several actions in order to recover the said amounts, but it appears these actions all failed or stalled. Some had effected arrests, some instituted lawsuits, some wrote to the EFCC, all to no avail. Many of them have now decided to go to the media.

These passengers each have varying targets for their action; from the British company that now looks like they had changed their contact details in the UK, to the agents whom they paid to in Lagos, Abilfat travels, to the NCAA and Federal Ministry of Transport who seem to be unconcerned despite having received letters; to the Nigeria police that released some of the accused whom they were able to arrest. All of them, though, seem to blame Abilfat travels since the agency is the one to whom they made payments. Earlier investigations with the Nigerian police revealed to the affected persons that all funds had been advanced to one Dr. Uwe Isangedighi in the UK on behalf of Oryx Jets.

Dr. Uwe Isangedighi is noted to come from a very powerful family, lawyers, a senior judge, with 2 former PDP senators and a current PDP Deputy Governorship candidate. Expectedly, Uwe has been very elusive, allegedly arrested and released through family connections.
Although court cases against Abilfat travels continue, some of the passengers have already concluded that this is high level fraud by the Isangedighi family reasons being that some have visited the known UK address of the Oryx jet and found it to be non-existent, and of all those investigated, only Abilfat has tendered verifiable documents to exonerate self, and even effected the arrest of Isangedighi at some point.

On the contrary, the Isangedighi is known to have filed a defense in an Abuja court case brought against him by Abilfat travels.
Few weeks ago, some of the intending passengers had already approached Vanguard newspaper to tell the story, some resorted to private investigation in the UK, while some have decided to wait for endless inquiry by different investigative agencies in Nigeria.
Some of the affected persons who spoke to Naija Promoters have requested anonymity, while others have been vocal about their call for refunds. But they are largely together in seeking the help of an impartial, people-siding investigator like David Hundeyin to help uncover who is actually behind this alleged fraud.
