hmmmmmmm, sienna: nice 1 dude. i really dont know much about cars o! my guy! i just buy, send 2 9ja 4 sale. i dont have a single problem with the engine and every1 who has driven it showers compliments on the sound of the engine as they all say it's very quiet. i really must confess to you dude that i looked every where for the sign 'ROVER' on the engine but couldnt find it. All i saw was 16valve written across it. i presume a BMW engine must have been swapped for it. in a related post earlier on (which you authored educating people about engines and valves) i had asked you about this but you didn't reply. however, i'm not pised. i wouldnt say i'm not satisfied with the engine performance as i'm very chuffed and satisfied wit it. i have no iota of regret buying the car and will be very much willing to make it a personal car even if nobody buys it. i'm not desperate to sell it.- so there's no issue about deception. i must repeat again (cos i know it's your area of specialty) i dont know jack about car engines o! i only buy, have a jolly good ride n re-sell. wat i wrote earlier was out of my suspicions, however, that dosen't preclude the fact that this engine is to a large extent ok.

One of the reasons why car sellers normally hide a couple of letters of the registration. Information is very easily obtained, either though VOSA, Hpi registers or the likes !!!

@Lexusgs430: i observe a lot of car sellers do that but i'm not particularly comfortable with it. for crying out loud if a seller is certain that there's no fault with a car, i see no reason why he should conceal vital details from prospective buyers. i personally won't go for such an advert. i prefer people who lay their cards on the table.
