After designing a beam. The following checks are necessary

1. Minimum Reinforcement Area which ranges between 0.13bh -0.24bh

2. Maximum Reinforcement Area which ranges from 4bh to 6bh

3. Deflection Check which involves comparing the actual length/depth ratio to the allowable length/depth ratio

4. Cracking that deals with clear bar spacing, maximum aggregate size and reinforcement size.

5 Shear stress: This deals with shear force and section area. It ranges between 0.8√Fcu and 5N/mm^2
