Maybe the exhibit was industrial hemp with very low THC content and not medical-grade marijuana whose THC could range up to 30%, which is more than adequate to render comatose any rat that is an amateur in weed-eating prowess, yet was trying to hang with the Big Boys inside that Indian police exhibit room.

If the rats ate industrial hemp expecting to get high in good faith as law-abiding rats, that very disappointing absence of any psychoactive effect could actually provoke the rats to the lawless extent that they could embark on an eating rampage in a bid to consume the entire 200 kg consignment of industrial hemp purely as an act of vengeance against the police for storing such a worthless exhibit in the first place.

Be that as it may, I suggest that esteemed Nairaland readers withhold their judgment in this sensitive matter until the Panel of Experts publish their investigative White Paper Report that will establish the immediate and remote causes of the brouhaha, without sparing ANY of the usual suspects in this case.
