Who Is Rigth About Libya, Nigeria Or South Africa. by PaulJohn1: 6:32pm On Aug 27, 2011
Due to the revolution going on in Libya where rebels are going against the leadership of Gaddafi, disagreement came into being among African Countries on whether to put the NTC (National Transition Council) into recognition as the Libya's governing council. Most countries in Africa backed South Africa on not recognizing them as the Governing council, while Nigeria and countries like Senegal and Botswana supported the council as the governing council. The questions now are: Which of the countries is right? Which of the countries is not having any interior motive for it's action? Who should have the say?

From peoples comments. They said the NTC is a council set up by the U.S. with the motive of securing a guarantee in Libya's oil once the country starts practicing democracy, since the council was been supported by the U.S. in overcoming Gaddafi. Nigeria Government also supported the council as been recognized as the governing council of the country, but Nigeria may also be doing this because the U.S. have its method of convincing the Nigerian Government in her support.

Now, looking at the other African Countries going against the council may also have their own intention. These countries going against the NTC are been headed mainly by South Africa. And the reason why South Africa may be in support of Gaddafi is because of the the relationship that was existing when Gaddafi was in power.

So, I'm giving out this points for Nairalanders to deliberate on the topic and let us know who is right about the recognition of NTC in Libya. No one can really be trusted. Lastly, nairalanders I'm really confused about the country that has more say in AU, whether it is Nigeria or South Africa.

Nigeria is not a serious country in anything they do,forget them. The rebels are a small percentage of that population, what about the supporters of gadaffi,They just destroyed the African Unity.Southafrica will proved right in the future once corruption and civil unrest starts, its just the beginning not the end.It was aggression on a sorveign nation, but Nigeria accepts it.
