National Sports Festival Opens In Colourful Style In Asaba (Photos)

The curtain was opened for the 2022 National Sports Festival on Wednesday with colourful opening ceremony performances at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, in Asaba, the capital of Delta State.

With dancing, music, calisthenics, and fireworks, the performers gave one of the best festival opening celebrations in recent memory.

Sunday Dare, the minister for youth and sports development, as well as the governors of four other states—Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State, Douye Diri, the executive governor of Bayelsa State, Godwin Obaseki,Edo State and Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto—were in attendance.

Ismaila Abubakar, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, and Olumide Osoba, the head of the House Committee on Sports, were also present.
