By now Nigerians should be able to differentiate genuine and fake links.
Example:
Fake: bitly.edu.comng.
Genuine: edu.com.ng
This is non exhaustible.

You can also differentiate fake links when they ask you to share to multiple people on WhatsApp.

These guys might be legit but anyone knows that CAC will not register anything starting with "National" or "Nigerian" unless it has government backing so why use that title. At the bottom of the site you may now see " powered by anybody.vom"

This is an attempt to deceive or influence

Like I said the people might be genuine but theyve gone about this the wrong way.

They are not genuine one bit.
If they were, they would have gone about it the right way.

It's not about being secure, most scamming websites are secured whereas some websites with legit information are not secures apparently because transactions are not carried out on them.

@OP, I saw someone advertising that site here on nairaland, I've checked it out and confirmed it a scam. The contact number on the footer is not complete with other red flags.

Good NITDA released this statement.

Regardless of your political affiliations, you should be wary of cyber attacks during this election season and after .
The election has shown that a lot of citizens are gullible hence propaganda is trending easily.

Let's just be careful of links been shared and sites we visit.
Patriotism is very important coz I'm already seeing people blaming the government thereby ignoring the message.
