I had to create new account so to post this anonymously, I with tears in eyes and a broken heart � I’m pleading that anyone who has solutions to what I’m going through should come to my aid.

I’m so addicted to gambling, Bet9ja Virtual, SportyBet virtual.

I have a good job, I earn handsomely but i end up loosing everything i toiled and laboured in the betting shop.

Please how do I overcome this, if I calculate how much I’ve lost to betting this year alone, it’s up to 9million Naira… sometimes in a day, I loose up to 300k.

Today’s own was the worst, all the salary for the monthly including bonus is all gone…

I bought snipers with the remaining 5k left, I feel I should just end my life cos with the things are going I can’t be great ever again.

Please if there’s anyone who has gone through this dark path before and later curtailed it should kindly help a brother, the whole thing is killing me already.

Op i can feel your pain, i was once a bet addict(virtual), but the problem lie with, the reason is that if you really want to quit,you just have to made your mind that you dont want to play virtual, you dey find quick money that why u always play, u just have to made up your mind coz that i do, even till now if i still pass bet9ja shop, i will still be tempted but i will just overlook it and pass by, e nor attract me again, my advice for is to just pray and clear your mind about virtual.

I have seen a lot of teenagers that ought to be doing well but this ruin them but @op no kill yourself just find somebody that will held you accountable and probably be in control of your money so that you get only what you need untill you are okay

Addictions are best stopped by finding another addiction.

Why do you gamble?

Before you play a bet, ask yourself Is there no other possible way for me to make money?
If I win, what will I use the money for?

Guy, nobody can help you. It is a good thing that you have realised that you have a problem.

Talk to yourself anytime the urge comes. Tell yourself your are bigger than this; channel your mind to great things you can do with the money.
