The mistake many make is that they think that Fulani are only slaughtering Christians. This is far from the truth.

The Fulani bandits early prime targets were the Hausa who were always having skirmishes with the later because their cattle were eating their crops. The Fulani bandits rose up to protect the Fulani herdsmen and people as their livelihood was threatened. With the cattle herding business now in danger, some turned to criminality.

It is not just a Southern Kaduna problem. It may actually be worse in Hausa dominated areas up North. The Fulani are complaining bitterly about the marginalization of their people by the Hausas, even in the civil service. Zamfara is largely Hausa. I doubt there's a single indigenous christian tribe there.

The police are not well trained to handle rifles; we should replace them with non-lethal tasers.

We also need to deploy technology and get policemen off the streets. ANPR cameras plus CCTV can easily track stolen cars; ensure cars on the road have valid registration and insurance.
These things are not rocket science.

Only in Nigeria, bad shit happens and steps are not taken to ensure it doesnt happen again

I was watching Channels TV and the so called expert said we can get bodycams. The Govt can never win. Its so easy to say buy bodycams...not all Police Depts in the US sef can fit body cams on all officers. A quick Google shows each bodyworn camera program cost $2445 per camera/officer....so 100,000 officers will cost $244.5m and mind you...with shipment abroad and all, it might cost close to $350m...@ N430...that is over N100billion - N150billion, so if we plan to do that for 200k officers, you are looking at N300b. For PO that wants to triple our police forces, let's just say close to a trillion to fit them with bodycams not to include ammunition, recruitment and training. It is so sad when we make issues look so simple when it's not so simple.

I have just come to understand why the country is at the state it is. Majority of the people can't do simple Google research to separate the propaganda from what is truly real, measurable and feasible.

Political statement, nothing will happen to that terrorist, policemen have been killing civilians all over Nigeria and nothing was done by the IGP, they only condemn the killings redeploy these murders to other divisions to continue their killing business. I feel for the husband, why would a trained police officer shoot a pregnant woman at point blank range? What sort of provocation would warrant this kind of reaction?

The engagement of these officers with the political class has contributed to this reckless behavior, they believe they re above the law and can kill anyone they please, the orientation they get from their police academy doesn't help matters.

It all boils down bad recruitment practices and poor orientation.

We now have to worry about bandits, kidnappers, terrorist , military and the police, we re bleeped.
