Dear Nairalanders,
Happy New year to you all.
Refer to this thread https://www.nairaland.com/7506437/fund-paypal-account, where I requested for somebody to help me fund my PayPal account with 7,000naira.

This guy with the handle; JONIWW, (now he have changed his handle to Ynix) responded and I decided to make the transaction with him.

I sent him #7,320, which iithe equivalent of $12 as he requested as we chatted via WhatsApp.

Till now, he is yet to fund my PayPal account and his phone went off. This is about 2 days now.

I sent him the money via Palmpay to his Wema Bank account details;
John Inaku
7295521791.

Whoever that knows him should inform him to refund the money.
Though he may think that the money is small, but it might hook him.

Noo, I will follow it up to a logical conclusion.
He must refund that money.
I will to court, then to his bank(Wema) and report

If you have strategy on ground to catch him proceed but you will spend far more than 7k that he scammed you. Nairaland is full of thief,.next time use escrow

I was defrauded 390k by Adenike Arowolo(euromoney) and Momoh Oladele Peter since 2020 nothing has been done yet despite reporting to Police and Efcc.
Tracking fraudster is always difficult in Nigeria if you don't have connection.
I hope and pray that Nigeria will have a working system one day.

Na waoo.
But see how my brother retrieved his money from a scammer.
After paying the guy, the guy disappeared, switched off his phone and even not responding to Whatsapp messages.

My brother went to his bank and laid the complain..
He went to court and got the right for the scammer's bank to cease any money that comes into the account.

After one month, my brother was surprised when he got an alert of the same sum from his bank.

So all the accounts attached to the bvn of that scammer must be traced, to get that money back.

Good luck.
