This is 2023! They should learn to operate/use bank accounts for transactions! Illiteracy is not an excuse not to open a bank account and receive transfers! Neither will CBN renege on this policy! They can cry blue murder from now till they kingdom come expecting cash payment but the only thing they will get is the continuous fall in price of their cows. They are even lucky theirs is not perishable farm produce like tomatoes!

If you eat Fulani cow, you're actually eating a sodomized cow by these demented Fulani terrorists. Eat their cow at your own peril!

If they don't want to use banks, what crime have they committed?

Emefiele's is probably the moat incompetent CBN governor since the return to democracy in 1999. That's the only reason the equally incompetent Buhari by any earthly standard gave him a second term.

If this move was not politically driven, I would have disputed The CBN Govs incompetence but this is how top developed countries deal with inflation. The scarcity of Naira is good but the timing is terrible as it is for most Nigeria policies

will scarcity of naira bring down inflation?

Yes it will. When there's lesser fiat money in circulation, the value is revaluated thereby causing deflation... So the policy issa good one

Good one, let them go and open account and key into cashless policy of the government. Less cash in circulation will surely bring down inflation.

in their bid to paint Emefiele bad because of their vote buying stashed cash, they are ending up making Nigerians support the policy the more.

If the naira redesign will cause prices to crash, then it's a very welcome development.

Peter Obi is the next president of Nigeria

Mr ode, it's because of fake alert, bad network, lack of banks in rural areas, ur account can hacked and money stolen at anytime, as a matter of fact we are not ready and matured yet for cashless economy because we lack the structure to make it work.

It is expected.

Naira redesign will adversely affect transactions in the agriculture sector because this sector is heavily dependent on cash. Due to the scarcity of the new banknotes, many farmers will have insufficient cash to purchase seeds, fertilizers and pesticides needed for the plantation of crops. The shortage of cash might lead to plunging in demand which in turn led to a crash in the prices of crops and animals . Farmers will be unable to recover even the costs of transportation from their farms to the market from the low prices offered.

And it will affect output in the short term which lead to fall in supply, with teeming mouths to feed, this will invariably drive up prices!

I just help you finish your wonderful analysis.
