This particular statement relates to a branch of astrology known as natal astrology.
"Natal" means birth,
as in ante-natal (before-birth) care that a pregnant woman (wombman) goes through before giving birth.

The birth chart also called a horoscope is a star map of the positions
of the planets at the moment you were born, with you at the center.
It's like a snapshot of the heavens at the moment of your birth



Now the time and space on earth you took your first breath or you were born is important.

This map or snapshot of universal energies in play at the moment of ones birth is like a celestial blueprint of a person. It's one natal chart or ones horoscope.
It holds the key to ones unique life path and personality.

Everyone's chart is always unique. Some may be similar, but no two are all the same.

Another important thing to know is cycles. After ones birth and celestial imprinting the planets don't just stay stagnant, they continue in their cycles.
The most popular cycle known is the sun cycle or yearly cycle as in birthdays or solar returns which simply mean the sun returning to where it was at the moment of ones birth.

Now everyone has a moon sign too. The sign of the zodiac the moon was in at the moment of ones birth is ones moon sign. For example any child born within this Night in Nigeria at the moment of this writing will have leo as their moon sign because for this night in Nigeria, the moon is traveling in the sign of leo.

The moon cycle is about one month, it takes approximately 28 days for the moon to revolve around the earth. Every month, everyone has a lunar return or moon return to the initial point at moment of birth.

Now aside the sun and moon there are planets and other celestial bodies in their cycles that give meaning and play part in everyone's unique horoscope or birth chart.

Mars cycle and mars return every 2 years
Saturn cycle and saturn return every 29 years
Jupiter cycle and Jupiter return every 12 years



For example if a person has an aries sun sign, which means the sun was in aries at the moment of birth, the person may have a personality with more energy to initiate or start things than a gemini sun sign who would rather have a personality with more energy to get things done.

Now with the birth chart or horoscope, one can get ideas of the energy's one has most active in them.
Here is a conceptual view:
There are 2 children, AB and YZ. AB is good at sports but not quite good in his class, while YZ. is good in class but not good enough in sports.
AB may have mars dominant in his birth chart giving him more active energy and drive for sports, while YZ may have Mercury dominant in his chart making him more of an intellectual and logical thinker.

To know the meaning of the word "Astrology", let's first know the root of the word.
Two words merge to form the word "ASTROLOGY". These two words are:
1. "ASTRO" meaning "stars" or "heavens"
2. "LOGY" meaning "logic" or "a sense of" or "speech"

"ASTROLOGY" means a sense of / science of the stars or heavens
In another sense, "ASTROLOGY" means the speech (words) of the stars and heavens.

"ASTROLOGY" ... "ASTRO-LOGIC" ... " STAR-LOGIC".. "HEAVENS-SPEECH"... "HEAVENS-LOGIC"

ASTROLOGY is a language, art, and science. It studies the relationship between the cycles of celestial bodies and the affairs of people on earth.
Astrology is based on the geography of the zodiac. This geography of the zodiac is a diagram of the earth revolving around the sun marking the 12 months or signs during its annual or yearly revolution of 360 degrees. Each degree in these 360 degrees represents a day.
The 12 signs or months of the zodiac are popularly known as the sun signs. Your sun sign is the sign of the zodiac the sun was in at the moment of your birth. Your moon sign will be the zodiac sign the moon was in at the moment of your birth and same applies to the other planets and celestial bodies.

To be able to speak the language of astrology, One has to know the zodiac wheel.

The zodiac wheel is a 360° circle divided into twelve equal parts of 30° each (360° ¸ 12 = 30°). Each of this 30° segment in the 360° circle represent a sign or month.
The word zo or zoo in the word “zodiac” means animal or life forms.
“Zodiac” is Greek for “circle of animals”
Signs of the zodiac were called the living creatures because of their lively magisterial modification of forces playing through the sun upon earth.

Laws under which life spiritual and temporal(physical) evolves are but the reactions of the planet earth to the stimuli of the moon, stars and suns and super-suns of the heaven.
Please Note that heaven here refers to an invisible realm that guides evolution
The sun governs earth motion.
The moon sways the earth tides causing the rise and fall in the level of the sea on earth.

The Zodiac is a representation of the laws of nature.
The cycle of nature begins in march 21st with spring season where the rays of the sun are one degree into aries therefore the first day in the first sign of the zodiac, hence starting nature's new year, unlike the gregorian new year of 1st January.
Paying attention to the last 4 months of the Gregorian calendar - September, October, November, December.
"septem" in latin is number 7
"octō" in latin is number 8
"novem" in latin is number 9
"decem" in latin is number 10
*Now if we will continue counting,
January as 11
February as 12
then 1 the natural New year or first sign of the zodiac would start in march hence the sun entering aries on march 21st to start another 360 revolution of the sun.

Now, one thing to note is that the sun does not revolve around the sun, instead the earth revolves around the sun and one earth revolution around the sun is equal to a year. Also, the earth revolves around its axis to give us a 24 hours day on earth.
Looking at things from our perspective on earth is the reason why we may perceive the sun to be moving around the earth.

We all use astrology in our lives knowingly or unknowingly, an example is how we count our years on earth. Your Birthday or Solar return (return of the sun) would be the return of the sun to the exact point it was the moment you were born. One born on the 21st of march 2022 will be one year old on 21st march 2023 therefore the person's first solar return, what this means is that the sun has gone round the zodiac wheel and is back to the exact degree and sign it was at the moment and time of one's birth.
One born in the 6th degree of Aries will have a solar return anytime the sun returns to the 6th degree of Aries.
