POSITION: CONSTRUCTION SAFETY OFFICER.

ORGANISATION: 225MM CONSTRUCTS LTD

LOCATION: UNILAG,YABA,LAGOS

SALARY RANGE: 100-150K

QUALIFICATION: HND/BSC in Any field/ HSE Qualifications (Prerequisite).

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 2 years experience in a related position.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITY

Support the development of OHS policies and programs.
Supervise construction activities to ensure safety compliance.
Advise and instruct on various safety-related topics (noise levels, use of machinery etc.)
Conduct Job Hazard Hazard/risk assessment and enforce preventative measures.
Review existing policies/standards and update them according to required legal standards.
Initiate and organize OHS training of employees and executives.
Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity (e.g. not using protective equipment).
Prepare weekly/Monthly safety reports.
Conduct daily toolbox meetings.
Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy.
Record and investigate incidents to determine causes and handle worker’s compensation claims.
Documentation.
Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to upper management.
