You connect with God not through prayer but through obedience of His teachings and commandments-- His Law. I say this because you can pray from the day you are born until the day you die and God wouldn't answer you even once in all that time because He is not moved by your numerous prayers or your calling of His name, He is instead moved by obedience without which no man can please or honor God. So, unless you are in this for attention of other men, you best go back to the drawing board and learn from God what it is you should do in His name to get His attention rather than spreading lies and deceit using His name.

1. If Prayer itself was obedience as you claim then by default God should answer all prayers, right? But God doesn't answer all prayers hence not every prayer you pray is obedience of God's commandments. I hope you take time to process this so you can understand it well. God wants you to ask Him, to pray to Him for your every needs after all He said He alone is your master and your provider. But God will never answer any prayer that is offered in disobedience of His teachings and commandments.

2. You better go back to the very passage from which that verse was originally lifted from to ensure you capture the entirety of the message intended by the writer. Picking a verse out of context amounts to harvesting a lie and you can never repurpose a lie to form a truth.

If you must know, even in Romans 10 vs 13 and the passage where it was originally culled from Joel 2 vs 28 - 32, it is written that those who put their Trust in the Lord ---- not those who pray to the Lord ---- will be saved. Those who trust God are those who obey His every teachings and commandments.
