3 years? Why not just go for a masters or pgd?

All poly students might as well opt for distance learning programs.

A 3yr programme just to convert your HND certificate to a degree? Damn!!!

Are you telling me the 5yrs you spent to obtain your HND is equivalent to only one yr in a 4yr BSc programme? Shucks!!!

Even if you dont trust your own abilities, may be due to some unfortunate conditions under which you had your education, why would you so downgrade the HND in favour of a common BSc. That's the response universities want to get and by dancing to their tunes, you agree you don't really know your market work. And you let them make a fool of you.

I know a number of HND holders who outperform their BSc work colleagues and are even earning more. It's all about what a person is capable of. As an HND holder with 2yrs work experience, my next step will be a Masters degree in the UK. And great schools that will take me are many and waiting. So you berra think straight and pray rude HND holders won't catch you with this mediocre mindset. Trust Nairalanders for verbal abuse.

Unless my memory fail me, HND holders are always admitted into 200 or 300 level of university degree programs (depending on the school).
What's UNIPORT selling that is different?

Dats total rubbish, watz d big deal in Bsc,I bet it,most HND are good than this Bsc of a thing,If you wanna quote me wrong ask the so called Bsc holders in sciences and engineering on practical aspect,I bet you will be dissapointed,Am‎ an HND in microbiology. And also Associate of Institute of Science Laboratory Technology,This Institute is highly recognise in Nigeria and they don't even certicate Bsc,reason because they don't do practical work, can't even remember the numbers of practicals I did when I was in school, will do practical exam too.Any Bsc holder in those field mentioned should quote me.

That is no real hope.

When you are at your polytechnic, work hard and get a direct entry to the university already at the ND level.

That way you will save yourself a lot of time and stress. An HND holder will usually use 8-9 years to obtain a BSc. That is the way it is structured in Nigeria.
