BRT Driver Who Crashed Into Train Arraigned For Manslaughter by chokekachy: 11:21am On May 02, 2023
A Lagos State Bus Rapid Transit driver, Osibanjo Oluwaseun, who collided with a moving train at Ikeja and allegedly killed six people was, on Tuesday, arraigned before an Ikeja High Court.

The defendant, who was arraigned before Justice Oyindamola Ogala, is facing 16 counts bordering on involuntary manslaughter and previous harm, preferred against him by the state government.

The Director of Public Prosecutions, Babajide Martins, told the court that the BRT driver negligently killed the victims by ignoring warning signals and ran into an on-coming train.

He said the defendant also negligently inflicted grievous harm on 10 other passengers on the bus.

In case you don't know, frustration is one of the things that pushes these drivers to take up the driving job.

Most of these drivers are not mentally stable. If you test them today, they could be all right and in the next minutes, some knots are off their thread.

If you think I am telling you lies, then take a look at their faces and how they talk to their passengers.

Na wa... That man will definitely spend some time in jail. However, if he doesn't, he might end up getting killed by some angry family members of the victims.
The man really fvcked up. He miscalculated his fast and furious driving.

embarassed yes... prosecute him... so the we.rey no die sef... he suppose die too... his negligence killed dozens of people... he should be held responsible... I use brt almost everytime and I know how radical those drivers are... they have this wicked overconfidence towards other road users... they don't like slowing down for others to pass...
