Telecommunications operators are set to disconnect Deposit Money Banks (DMBs) from the use of the Unstructured Supplementary Service Data (USSD) over accumulated debt, which has amounted to N120 billion.

Under aegis of the Association of Licensed Telecommunications Operators of Nigeria (ALTON), the services providers said the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has granted an approval for “our members – Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) – to disconnect Deposit Money Banks (DMBs) if they fail to pay the debt owed to Operators for Unstructured Supplementary Service Data (USSD) services which amounts to over N120Billion.”
