Employee Arraigned For Forging Bank Transaction Receipt And Stealing by ednuttyz: 3:48pm On May 15, 2023
An employee of a financial services company has been arraigned before the Lagos State Magistrate Court sitting at Ogudu.

The employee, Olawale Sunday SHITTU was arraigned before the Court on Monday 15th of May, 2023 on two counts of forgery and stealing.

In the first count, Shittu Olawale Sunday, aged 31years, was accused of forging two GtBank Transaction receipts purporting to have been issued by the bank, to show that he made two transfers of 50,000 each to two customers of BSG MULTISTREAM LTD, an offence contrary to and punishable by the criminal law of Lagos State.

In the second count, the accused person was accused of stealing the sum of One Million Naira belonging to his employer, an offence also contrary to the laws of Lagos State.

He was granted bail in the sum of Two Hundred Thousand Naira and 2 sureties each in like sum. The Court ordered that the two sureties must be gainfully employed and must produce evidence of tax payment. The court then adjourned to 30th May, 2023.

The accused has been taken to Kirikiri Correctional Centre pending perfection of bail.

CRIME DOESN'T PAY.
