hi all.  just had a friend of mine who only recently renewed his student visa deported at the heathrow airport. he purchased his ticket from me to travel to lagos, spent close to a month there and on his return to london was stopped by the immigration officers at the airport. i hear they searched his luggage and found his laptop with information about his work schedule on it. he had apparently been working more hours than he should for a student. his visa has been cancelled. so if u r a student in the uk or r intending to study in the uk pls make sure you only work the no of hours u r required to. the immigration agency in the uk do not take kindly to people flouting the laws of their land. also when travelling never ever take along with u incriminating documents. mail them if u must have them. and pleeeeeeeeeeeaaase no conflicting stories. always tell the truth as they work on intelligence. make sure you know the course u r studying(silly right? but trust me some pple have no idea wat course they r on). so there u go. oh and make sure whoever is meeting u gets the story right.any excuse to send one home they will use it. cheers.
