Can someone recommend a reputable training centre for oracle? Pls not the hungry type. Preferably Lekk-Epe way axis.

I will appreciate recommendation of good books/materials for self studying.

I am a trained computer scientist though not practicing at the moment. An average VB programmmer with stong knowlege of MS Access DB.

This includes installation manual, Oracle SQL, administration, database creation, past exam questions, virtual or mock exam applications, and a complete 11g textbook from oracle university. If you have a good internet facility, go to http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/database/enterprise-edition/documentation/index.html and download the oracle documentation library. You can also get Oracle Database software from the site. The documentation contains beginner guides for installation and Oracle database management. Pay attention to the guide "Oracle Database Concepts" since you are just starting. If you intend to be a specialist in Oracle Database and related technologies, you must have and also get very familiar with the documentation.

By the way, the documentation library is free (the software is also free for educational purposes). For certification, you can get certification guides, videos, exam dumps, etc but most of them are developed from (and refer to) this documentation library.
