A friend use shoe lace to tie his dog mouth from biting the vet doctor while taking her away to MATE her.
The dog trekked for 2 hours+ with her mouth closed.
10 minutes after they got home with it's moth still closed, she slumbed and died.

Prior to this, she has never trekked more than 30 minutes before which happen once in a blue moon

Firstly, how will you allow a dog to trek for more than two hours. During dog walk sef, dog never Waka reach like that. (She deserves Guinness award?

why didn't they untie the mouth when they were done ?

Also why tie the mouth when they could have used a dog muzzle ?

Didn't you guys know that tying the mouth isenough to slow or stop bloood flow around such region because the rope must be tight somehow else the dog would have loosened it.

That vet also failed to do their work - they ought to have cautioned you people immediately they saw it.

As for what killed the dog - even without tying the mouth, the trekking alone (don't know if the weather was sunny or not) is enough to greatly weaken the poor thing. Now add that to it's current state of health. When you take a dog for a long walk or make it run for long, you would see it gasping for air minuttes after sitting down. Now had it been the person handling the dog was observant, him/her would have noticed the dog gasping for air, but the mouth was tied, una just killed the poor thing

That was the vet guy's fault.
We didn't know he's going to trek that long with the dog cos we gave him T.fare

That vet is probably a quack. Because a real vet would know dogs can actually die from exhaustion or heat stroke. Boerboel dogs are very prone to heat stroke.. Sorry you and your vet should be in jail in saner climes because you actually killed that poor dog

Lucky the dog wasn’t mine… the vet for don dey chill for cell by now, because if he’s not mad, he will know better.

You took the dog to mate - internal Heat will build up from the tension before mating and a lot after mating.

You trekked with a mated dog for 2 hours!! therefore increasing the Heat rate of her body.


A dog pants to cool down. Their mouths are also useful in respiration.

Since you tied her mouth, she couldn't release the excess internal heat and died of internal overheating.


Seems you didn't build a solid relationship with your female dog.
I hold the head of my female dog in place to allow for easy mating for a male dog she refuses to allow mount her.

Next time, Get a Dog mouth guard(muzzle).
