Poly Students Raise Alarm Over Missing Genitals by Nobody: 12:29pm On Sep 30, 2011
Thousands of students of the Federal Polytechnic, Bida, in Niger State recently went on rampage following the alleged missing genitals of a 23-year-old Higher National Diploma (HND) student even as they destroyed the administrative block, library and the ICT workshop of the school, as well as the official residence of the Rector.
Community Mirror gathered that trouble started when the student reported to the school authorities that his genitals had disappeared following a handshake by a female visitor he had rendered assistance to in the school.
Following this, the school authorities took him to the medical centre which later referred him to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Bida for further tests as he was later given a clean medical bill.
The situation deteriorated further, when another student raised alarm over the disappearance of his genitals. In total, about 11 students claimed their genitals were missing even as this created tension.
The school authorities were also accused of complicity, having failed to produce the female visitor. The students later matched to palace of the Etsu Nupe, where they were told the monarch was out of town. While going back to the school, the students went on rampage, attacking vehicles and pedestrians thereby forcing the authorities to close down the institution.
